1,2,3,4!

So... we have some exciting news here in the Bowen household! :) I sent out our Christmas cards on
Monday so most of you already know... But we are expecting a baby on July 3, 2012!

So, right now I am almost 12 weeks and pretty excited to get out the 1st trimester! I have thrown up every morning for the last 6 weeks! :( Bummer. This pregnancy has taken a lot of my energy. It's so different being pregnant with a 1 1/2 year old running around! Speaking of Noah, he is doesn't really understand but we a few times every day we talk to the baby and he gives my belly kisses. It's pretty cute. We are excited for a new little one for Noah boy to play with!

Inspiration.

There has been some stuff going on lately and while I don't want to post a big long thing about it with any details... I did find this gem of a quote the other day and felt the need to share!

"Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you, and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too." --Will Smith

Oh and here's another..

"The best way to get even, is to forget." (ummm much easier said than done.)

And one more that a facebook friend shared with me...

"If your presence adds no value to my life, your absence will make no difference."

Enjoy the words of wisdom. And pray for me to be the better person.

A Time To Be Grateful..

I have see a few people posting every day one thing they are thankful for and they are doing it every day for the month of November. I decided it was a good idea... and I always need a good reminder of my blessings. So here I go.

-November 1: I am grateful for laughter. Noah had us laughing all day and night long. I just love him.
-November 2: I am grateful for Trevor. I am so lucky to have him by my side and I am thankful he works so hard to provide for me and Noah. He is our hero!

[And ps, I will be doing a few updates on our life shortly. Time has gotten away from me lately!]

Noah :)

Because I have been missing my baby for 5 days, and because when I got home tonight he was already passed out.... you get to see how adorable he is! Enjoy some pics of my amazingly cute son! :)

Admit it.... your day is infinitely better now that you have seen those photos! :) Well, at least mine is!

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS.. TREVOR & SHAY STYLE!

I just got home form 4 days in Vegas! Trevor and I got away for the week alone. It was so so much fun! My mom and dad kept Noah for the week.. THANKS! You guys rock! Seriously, we had a blast.

We walked the strip countless times,

ate some yummy breakfasts, (hash house a-gogo & ellis island)

went swimming,

watched the fountains at bellagio,

watched the pirate show at TI, went to BLUE MAN GROUP,

went on top of the Eiffel Tower,

 saw the volcano at mirage,

We stayed at NEW YORK NEW YORK and it was so nice. We rode the roller coaster and it rocked! Haha. We went to bed before 10 every night and were up and going by 9 am. We didn't gamble or drink and vegas still rocked! :) We made some awesome memories and I am sure Trev and I will be making many more trips down to Sin City!

LOVE THIS.

MOM, YOU NEED TO TEACH ME HOW TO BRAID LIKE THIS.

LOVE. I NEED MY BEDROOM TO LOOK LIKE THIS.

ME AND THE HUBBY WILL BE HERE IN A WEEK! YAY :)

Reunited At Last!!

So, as most of you know Trevor is home! He totally surprised me last tuesday night! It is so awesome to have him home again. I woke up around 12:30 a.m. on (tuesday night/wednesday morning) to trevor standing next to the bed. I honestly thought I was dreaming! I was like, "Is it really you??" Haha. It was wonderful to have him home a few days earlier than I had planned. I didn't get my to do list quite finished [clean out the car, do the dishes, grocery shop, welcome home banner, etc] but he didn't care and when it all came down to it the only thing that mattered was him being with us again. :) I was in tears for about a half hour and I just couldn't believe he was actually home! When Noah saw Trevor for the first time he just stared for like 10 minutes and now he can't get enough of him. It is so wonderful to be a family again and watch Trev and Noah play and love each other. :) I am so happy. We have just relaxed and visited friends and family so far. It's been nice. Next week, we are off to Vegas for 5 days :) yay! Noah is staying with my mom and dad. I can't wait to get away for a few days. Then back to reality, Trevor has his first drills the weekend we get home and then it will be time to figure out where we are going next!

I LOVE PINTEREST!

Update on the past couple months...

Oh man I have been slacking in the blog department! Let's see... We have kept pretty busy during July and August. (Hence the fact that I haven't been blogging) So I kinda don't even know where to start. I guess I will start with the 4th of July. Noah and I drove up to Rexburg on the 3rd for a bbq with Trev's family. It was lots of fun. Then, we drove home early on the 4th to make it back to Malad for the parade. Sadly, I didn't take many pictures on the 4th. My mom took most of them with her camera. This is about the only one I have.

The week after the 4th, Noah and I went to Bear Lake with Autie and Bel. It was a blast and so nice to get away from Malad. Autumns family has a condo there so we stayed there for a week. By the end of the trip I understand why my parents and grandparents always needed a vacation from the vacation! Haha. It was exhausting with a little one.

We made a couple trips to Lava, and also went to the Logan swimming pool. Autie and I tried to leave the kiddos once a month and go out of town for a break. We had a fun, busy summer. It was so nice to have Autie and Bela around while we were missing Trevor. Our last Hoorah of the summer was going to Lagoon. We had a blast.

(For the record, I hate hate HATE putting pictures on here. So you don't get many pics. Sorry!)

Things I Have Learned In The Last 6 Months

-Babies grow up WAY too fast.
-Skype is a miracle.
-Messy, sloppy kissed from my 18 month old are the very best kind.
-Distance makes the heart grow fonder. <3
-Handwritten letters are the best thing to get.
-I am totally okay with taking my child out of the house with a messy face and only a diaper on. Ha.
-Elmo, Thomas, and Yo Gabba Gabba are my saving grace most days.
-Being nice gets you further in life..... but saying it how it is sure makes you feel better. :)
-It's all about your attitude. Fake it til you make it.
-Everything gets easier with time.... even missing my husband.
-I love having a smart phone. And I am addicted to FB.
-Being able to fohawk Noah's hair makes be more happy than it probably should.
-Toddlers literally change and learn new things every day.
-I love my life, but I am excited to move on to the next step.
-I think fake grass is the greatest invention. No watering or mowing, just pretty green lawn all year round.
-Sometimes it is better to say nothing at all. {'Say it best, just think the rest.' is my new motto.}
**one fantastic little test for speaking up or keeping it to yourself: is it nice? is it necessary? is it true?** yet another quote to help me remember what is the best way to react when I am feeling hurt or upset.

Happy Birthday To Meeee..

Me and my favorite guy!

So my bday was on June 27... (kinda late on the post I know) I had a pretty good day. My mom took me and Noah shopping and bought me a really cute outfit from the buckle. :) We went to lunch with my little sister and that was fun! I missed Trev like crazy all day... it was hard without him. But he sent me a really nice dining room table and chairs and a set of nice dishes. :) I am so excited to get them all put together and set up! After we got home from Poky my dad met us in town and we just hung out for a while. It was a fun, low-key day with my family. I am thankful for an awesome family to make me feel special! I usually like to make a list about myself or something cool like that for my birthday but I am just not feeling it...

Currently I am most grateful for....

Found picture here.

So skype may be the best thing ever invented. Haha. Trev and I recently started using it. (He got a laptop with a webcam and I am borrowing my sister's webcam.) It. Seriously. ROCKS. I love being able to see his face when I get on. It is a million times better than just talking on the phone. Now I can't complain because I actually get to talk to him every day now that he is in AIT... a huge difference from the three 30 minute phone calls I got the whole time he was in basic.  But anyways back to the SKYPE thing. :) Me and Trevor love love love it. But Noah is absolutely terrified of it. He gets super tense and buries his head into my chest whenever he sees Trevor on the webcam. It's pretty sad. But Trevor still loves to see Noah's face even though I feel like I am torturing him lol. Anyways, this whole webcam thing is gonna make the next 10 weeks go by a whole lot faster! :)

Happy Father's Day!

First I want to say how lucky I am to have the dad I have. He is wonderful and does so many great things for me. He has always been one of my greatest heroes. He (and my mom) taught me how to work hard, be polite, and have fun. My dad is a great example for me, my sister, and Noah. Speaking of Noah, my dad loves Noah so much and Noah loves Grandpa tons too. They are so cute when they are together and the best is hearing noah say "Grandpa". Adorable. Noah is sure lucky to have such an awesome Grandpa. Dad is always willing to help me out whenever I need it. He is one of the nicest guys I know, and anyone will tell you the same. He is also pretty dang cool. :) I can't express enough gratitude fro my dad and all he has done for me throughout the years. I am very very blessed. Happy Father's Day, Dad! Thank you for the being the BEST dad in the whole world!

Now, I must give a BIG THANK YOU to my hubby for being such an incredible Dad. Noah and him have such a special bond and I love it. I have shared a few stories about how much Noah boy misses Daddy while he is away, and Trevor misses Noah just the same. He is always asking for pictures of him and saying that we have the cutest son in the whole world. Haha. (Now I know he is pretty biased but still it melts my heart to hear) Trevor loves hearing about all the new things Noah is learning and he is sad he can't be here for them all.  I love how much Noah and Trev adore each other. Noah is a lucky boy to get such a great man as his father. Trevor is my hero and I am so glad I married him and I feel lucky to get to watch him be a dad. He is amazing with Noah. They both light up when they are together. Thanks for being the most amazing daddy, our hero, and my best friend. We love you so much. And miss you like crazy! Happy Father's Day!

Thanks Trevor and Dad for being my heroes and best examples for Noah! Happy Father's Day! I love you!
