HE'S HERE! Noah was born on Friday, Feb 12, 2010 at 2:55 p.m. :) It took a long time to get him here but he's here and we love him!
I started feeling labor pains on wednesday around 5 pm. i felt them all night long and didnt get any sleep! Trev took my to see our midwives thursday morning at 8. Tracy told me i still had a while and to just tough it out at home for longer. ugh. i was devastated! all that pain i had been in for nothing. so we went home and i continued to have contractions ALL DAY. the longer the night went on the more desperate i was getting! our families were both in poky just waiting for something to finally happen. then, at 12:30 a.m. my water broke. YES! THIS IS IT! or so i thought. i called tracy and she checked me and told me i still needed to stay home and to come back at 6:00 a.m. :( so we went home again, and by this time i seriously thought i was going to die! haha. so finally we got checked into the hospital and i thought it would be over soon! welllll, i labored and labored all morning. finally i was at a 7 and i begged for an epidural! then trev and i got some much needed rest! next thing i know tracy woke me up and told me it was time to PUSH! woohoo! so trev got back into position as my labor coach, my mom and trev's mom were ready and waiting with the cameras at the back of the room. so i pushed and pushed and pushed in every position-squatting, hands and knees, pulling a rope...1 hour,2 hours, 3 hours went by and NO baby! talk about exhausting! about 5 minutes before the 4 hour pushing mark, everything changed! all these nurses came in tables were being moved tracy put on a gown... and then before i knew it Noah was in my arms! It was the longest and most exhausting thing i have ever done and yes, the first thing out of my mouth was "i'm so glad that's over!" but it really was truly amazing. at times i thought i was seriously dying, but after i got my epidural the experience was much better. :) my epidural was perfect. i could still feel my body working and i felt in control, i could feel every time i had a contraction and when i needed to push. it just didnt hurt. i could feel lots of pressure but thats it. i could stand and move into different laboring positions. i hope next time the epidural works just as good. yes, i looked like i got hit my a mac truck (words from my uncle) but i felt so strong! i had just gave birth to a beautiful healthy 7 lb 15 oz 20 1/2 in long baby boy! everything was perfect! i could have never done it without trev! he was amazing the whole time. after all our birthing classes, he just rubbed my back and told me i was doing great, he was so patient with me! after we had noah, all trevor could say was he is so cute! he loved him so much, and our little family was perfect. my midwife tracy was awesome as well. she never left my side the whole time i was in labor. she kept me calm! we got discharged from the hospital on sunday morning. yay! i was so ready to go home! my mom stayed with us for 1 week. i know we wouldnt have made it through that first week without her! but now we are on our own and doing great! Noah is growing and changing every day! he had his first photoshoot yesterday and im anxiously waiting to see the pics! well thats my labor story. :)
