Coconut Oil Magic!

So I have a new found love I must share with everyone! Coconut oil! I have been seeing all these posts on pinterest about the wonders of coconut oil and I decided to try them out for myself! I have been using it for the past 2 weeks as a makeup remover/ eyelash thickener. I have been using Li Lash as an eyelash growth/lengthener for a couple years, but I could only buy it when it went on sale... ONCE a year on black friday. It is a little out of my price range. I do love it though, I just can't afford it. So when my last tube of Li Lash ran out, I was feeling desperate. I thought, "Oh well, maybe my eyelashes don't need it anymore... maybe they are just going to continue to look amazing all by themselves. " Ha. Big letdown. Only about a week after I had squeezed the last drops from the tube, did my eyelashes take a turn for the worst! They were falling out like crazy, and breaking off from the slightest touch. :( It was sad. Well anyways, I was trying to justify going and buying more Li Lash... and then got a brilliant idea! COCONUT OIL! I already had some on hand so I just started using it! 

So first I scoop a teeny bit (a little goes a long way) on my fingertips and just start rubbing it on my eyes. It starts to melt almost instantly. It is the perfect makeup remover. I do one eye and then wipe it all off with toilet paper or a cotton ball. Then do the next eye, then I wash my whole face. After I dry my face, I take an even teenier bit on my fingertips again and rub it onto my eyelashes and right along my eyelash line. On both my top and bottom lashes. Then I go to bed and let the coconut oil work its magic! 

My eyelashes have grown like twice as thick as they were just two weeks ago! I am in love!  Oh and also I had pictures of my eyes during this process... but I am struggling with blogger tonight and getting the pics to work! Sorry! Just go try this trick tonight!

Riley: 6 Months Old!

Sooo I suck at blogging lately. I have a zillion drafts going on here. Let's be totally honest, I am never gonna finish all of them. I'll just wrap it all up in we had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas and maybe even Halloween (I don't remember if I posted about that! Haha) Anyways, on to the good stuff.

Riley is now officially seven months old! Holy Crap! I never did a post on his six month stats! So at his six month appointment he was...Length: 27 1/2 in and Weight: 20 lbs. 12 oz. He is a big boy!
He can crawl all over and babble up a storm. He loves to squeal and laugh. His smile is totally contagious and I love every second of being his mommy. He loves to bounce in his bouncer thing. (I don't know the official name of it! haha) He still hates to snuggle and won't even lay down in bed with me! He is such a wiggle worm. Riley loves to eat and drink from his sippy. He loves his big brother. It never ceases to amaze me how much those boys love each other. I hope that never ever changes. He has recently decided he hates baby food and only wants real food that he can chew..... which is a problem since he only has 2 teeth! Oh ya, about those teeth, he got them when he was just 5 months! He wears size 12-18 month clothes most of the time. In fact, he can wear some things that are 24 months! He is so huge!
He has a wonderful First Christmas and Thanksgiving. He also got to go sledding for the first time a few weeks ago. We had to go to Holbrook since Poky doesn't get hardly any snow! Plus, Grandpa has snowmobiles and sleds and all sorts of fun stuff!

6 Months Old!

I love every minute of having this sweet, smiley boy around our home! He is just the best baby. So happy, hardly ever cries. Sleeps perfectly, eats like a champ. I love you so much Riley Roo! You are such an amazing blessing in my life. Oh ya, and when I get a disk of his actual 6 month pics my mom took of him I will post them!
